David has led Nice Shot Films for twelve years, bringing an experienced perspective to the art of filmmaking. His work is characterized by a quiet, collaborative presence that prioritizes seamless synergy with photographers, planners, and the entire creative team.

A graduate of Columbia University, David’s background in film production provides a sophisticated technical foundation for every project. His versatility is reflected in his dual roles; when not documenting private celebrations, he directs commercial narratives for his separate commercial brand, where he partners with Fortune 500 legacy brands such as Post Cereal and First American Title.

David recently served for two years as an Executive Board Member for WIPA (Wedding Industry Professionals Association), contributing to the event industry’s dialogue on ethics and professional conduct.

His journey to Nice Shot Films was preceded by a decade spent teaching filmmaking and directing, where he also served as chair of an art department. Today, David finds his balance along the Russian River in Sonoma County, where he lives with his boyfriend and their dog, Eddie.
